School children can get creative these holidays with Presbyterian Support East Coast’s (PSEC) is hosting three Redefine – love your op shop “astonishing hat” workshops over the Easter break.

PSEC head of marketing Shirley Collins said the astonishing hat workshops are a popular activity for children of all ages and everyone always has lots of fun watching all the “mad, whacky and incredible” hats take shape.

“What’s great about the holiday workshops is they’re not weather dependent, and, while the children are all working on their hats, parents can also do some op shop bargain hunting.

The workshops will be hosted at PSEC’s three charity stores:

PSEC Napier Charity Shop, 47 Carlyle St Napier - Wednesday, April 19, 11am to 12pm.

PSEC Taradale Charity Shop, Cnr White and Gloucester St - Thursday April 20, 1pm to 2pm.

PSEC Joll Road Charity Shop, Havelock North - Thursday, April 27, 11am - 12pm.

The workshops cost $2 per child, which includes all materials. All children under 11-years-old need to have an adult with them, groups are welcome and there is no need to book.

Children who attend the workshop are able to enter their hat creations into PSEC’s REDEFINE – love your op shop competition. Entries cost $10 and close Monday, July 31, 2017.
