We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Programme Coordinator, based at our Enliven Centre on Pakowhai Road, Wednesday to Saturday (27 hours per week).

Enliven provides support services for older people so they can enjoy life as a valued part of our community. We have a dedicated team who work in partnership with our clients to provide a stimulating and vibrant day service.

This is a stimulating and supportive environment, with a positive atmosphere in which our clients thrive. A typical day includes morning tea, exercises, lunch, various planned activities and afternoon tea. Our activities aim to promote self-worth, community engagement, education and awareness. Our range of motivational, diversional and social activities assist in meeting the physical, emotional and social support needs of participants.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Creativity and compassion
  • Excellent communication, organisational, facilitation and planning/time management skills
  • The ability to lead and support a small team
  • Experience in community based services
  • The ability to develop, plan and deliver programmes that are inclusive of all participants
  • The ability to practically include Māori culture into programme content
  • An understanding of and experience/qualification in the support/care of individuals with dementia
  • Confident computer skills with experience in Excel & Word

You will enjoy interacting with our older, fun-loving clients who always have time for some good banter and a giggle. You will be a warm and engaging person with a commitment to making a difference to the lives of older people.
