Where the need is greatest

East Coast people from all walks of life are facing challenges and crises every day. Our qualified team supports 2,000 children and families, older people, and disabled people each year to make positive changes and live good lives.

What your money is used for

Your donation will help PSEC provide vital social services to support disabled people, older people, children, and families across the East Coast. Choosing to donate to where the need is greatest helps us to remain responsive to those who need our support most right now.

Older People

Disadvantaged older people across the East Coast are struggling with loneliness, social isolation, and carer stress.

What your money is used for

Your donation will help Older People who are still living at home to remain socially connected and part of our community. Carers need a break too and our programmes at Enliven support older people, those living with dementia or living alone to meet, connect and enjoy some stimulating activities. Falls are not a part of normal life and can be life changing for an older person living at home. Your donation can help older people live their best life, with independence, purpose, companionship, meaningful activity and fun each and every day.

Disabled People

Disabled people across the East Coast are facing real, everyday challenges every day.

What your money is used for

Your donation will help disabled people to have the choice to make decisions to steer their journey through life. Disabled people are encouraged to explore who they are and what they are passionate about and supported to develop an aspirational vision for their future, and to have plans and actions to achieve their goals. Trained staff work alongside disabled people and their whānau to explore who they are, who they want to be, and how they could get there.

Children and Families

At Family Works we see children, young people, and their families when they are at their lowest point and need support to face life’s challenges. What we all want is a lasting and successful outcome for families. Our experience show that this is what works for children.

What your money is used for

Your donation will help local children and families access specialist help to rebuild their lives. You can make the most difference by joining our Guardian Angel regular giving programme and help traumatised children to feel safe at home today.

The Presbyterian Support East Coast Board is made up of elected members from the community and Presbytery representatives and is responsible for setting the strategy and direction of the organisation.
